Bert's Homestore first opened it's doors in 2005. The wonderful welcome it received in Hove prompted us to follow it up with a second store in the middle of Brighton at the end of last year.

Bert's is owned by great friends Andrew Earley and Jane Stewart. They went into business together back in 1997 running the design led gift store Domus, which is located in Union Street in the heart of Brighton's Old Lanes. That was over ten years ago, and the business, (and their friendship) is still going strong!

With the arrival of so many big high street brands to Brighton, Andrew and Jane passionately wanted to open a store that was specifically created by local residents, for our local residents. The aim at Bert's is to provide stylish and practical housewares,with sensible price tags attached, in a welcoming and fun environment.

So far, so good...the feedback from our customers is fantastic and even the staff enjoy coming into work (or so they say!) which is reflected in the brilliant service they provide.
